Description
A large Moche figure from Peru, c. 400 – 700 AD. It is 8” high and depicts a seated man wearing an elaborately detailed mantle, with stripes on the back and ornate design elements on the front. His face is expressive and the nicely burnished slip shows good mineral deposits. Ex Sarmiento collection. Value range: $600 - $750
