A wonderful Nayarit incensario cover from West Mexico, c. 100 BC – 300 AD. It is 7” high and is topped with a beautifully detailed temple or pyramid. The buff clay is highlighted with red paint and the interior is blackened from extensive usage. The handle is intact and the piece is covered with good mineral deposits. Museum deaccession. Value range: $400 - $600
