Description
Sasanian Kingdom. Varhran II. A.D. 276-293. AR drachm (27 mm, 4.09 g, 4 h). Conjoined busts of Varhran and consort, her crown topped with a boar's head; the smaller bust of a prince with an eagle crown, holding wreath before them / Fire altar flanked by attendants. Göbl type X/3. Minor porosity and slight bend, find patina on reverse. Very fine.
