Description
ITALY, Renaissance. The Emperor Vespasian. Uniface Oval Cast Bronze Plaquette, after the Antique, 17th Century. (8.86 gm; 51mm x 39mm) Laureate and draped bust right, name stamped below. (cf Bekker (Leipzig) 204-206, for others of Claudius, Nero and Vitellius). Excellent condition. Very high relief with great realistic detailed portrait. Brown patina.
