Description
NORWAY. Larvik. 1971. AV Medal (31mm - 25 g). Issued to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Larvik. Copying a 1/2 Speciedaler of Christian V, featuring is laureate bust on the obverse and crowned arms on the reverse. Struck in 90% gold, this medal contains .723 oz. of gold, $1015 at $1400/oz gold. Prooflike, as issued in original box, this is number 1727 in a series of 2000. Lot also includes a Proof example struck in .925 silver that weighs 20 grams, or .595 oz. of silver, or $20 at $35/oz silver. Housed in its original issue case. Two (2) medals in lot.
