NORWAY. Battle of Dynekilen. Medal struck to honor the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Dynekilen on 8 July 1716 where a light Danish-Norwegian force under Peter Tordenskjold trapped and defeated a similar Swedish force in Dynekilen fjord (just north of Strömstad), on the west coast of Sweden. The obverse shows a bust of Peter Tordenskjold, the reverse crowned arms and flags. The medal is struck in .925 silver and weighs 56.91 grams, 1.8 oz. of silver. Medal shows no issue marks. As struck.
