NORWAY. Bergen. 1970. AV Medal (25mm - 15 g). Issued to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the foundation of Bergen. Obverse shows the original city walls, the reverse feature ships in the harbor. Struck in 90% gold, this medal contains .434 oz. of gold, $600 at $1400/oz gold. As issued in original box, this is number 435 in a series of 1000. Lot also includes an example struck in .925 silver that weighs 20 grams, or .595 oz. of silver, or $20 at $35/oz silver. Housed in it's original issue case. Two (2) medals in lot.
