SWEDEN. 1973. AV Medal (39mm - 51.19 g). Portraits of Gustav Vasa, Gustav III, and Oscar III / Lions holding crowned arms. This medal was struck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the speciedaler in Sweden. Struck in 18 carat gold, this medal contains over $1775 in gold at $1400/oz gold. This medal is number 232 of a limited production of 500 medals. Lot also includes an example of the same medal struck in .75 silver which weighs 36.23 g. It is number 2298 of a limited edition of 2500. Both as struck and housed in their original wooden presentation boxes. Two (2) medals in lot.
