Description
Postumus. Romano-Gallic Emperor, A.D. 260-269. Æ sestertius (30 mm, 16.62 g, 6 h). Mint I (Treveri), A.D. 261. IMP C POSTVMVS P F AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Postumus right / VICT-ORIA AVG, Victory advancing left, holding wreath and palm, spurning bound captive seated left. RIC 172; Mairat 203; Bastien 100. Dark brown patina with tan highlights. A couple of ancient cuts or scrapes on obverse edge. Fine.
