John II Comnenus. 1118-1143. EL aspron trachy (32 mm, 4.43 g, 6 h). Constantinople. Christ enthroned facing, facing hand in benediction and holding Gospels / John and St. George standing facing, holding patriarchal cross set on three steps between them. DOC 8d; SB 1942. Well-struck with great details, obverse quite obviously double-struck, no graffiti or flan cracks. Good very fine.
