Severus Alexander Potin tetradrachm // Gordian III. AR antoninianus // Postumus. BI antoninianus. Mostly Fine with a couple a little better. All except the Alexandrian tetradrachm with inventory envelopes from the firm of Robert Ball Nachf. inventory, with his envelopes. LOT SOLD AS-IS, RETURNS NOT PERMITTED.
Robert Ball of Berlin started selling coins professionally in 1887. When he died in 1904, the business was taken over by Hugo Grünthal who ran the firm as Robert Ball Nachfolger until he was forced to close the business in 1934 after the National Socialists came to power. The remaining inventory was sold in two sales by Grabow of Rostock in 1939 and 1940. These coins probably came from the stock sold by Grabow.
