The Levant. 5th century B.C. A hoard of 'hacksilber'. A hoard of thirteen pieces of cut hacksilber without design (i.e., cut from silver ingots). One piece has shattered into three constituent parts, so there are fifteen pieces total. The total weight is 76.39 g, so most of the pieces are quite large (the largest weighs 10.32 g and measures approximately 20 mm across). Overall a nice group, all with identical toning and surfaces.
