Lucania, Velia. Ca. 510-465 B.C. AR drachm (14 mm, 3.20 g). Forepart of lion right, devouring leg of stag / Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Williams period 1, section 1, 1 (O1/R-; unlisted rev. die); HN Italy 1259. Extremely rare - Williams lists just one specimen from this obverse die. Porous. Very fine.
