Bruttium, Kroton. Ca. 500-480 B.C. AR nomos (24 mm, 7.08 g, 12 h). QPO, tripod, legs terminating in lion's feet; to right, heron standing left / QPO-TON, incuse tripod. SNG ANS 254; HN Italy 2094. Very rare variety with ethnic on both obverse and reverse. Toned with some porosity and scratches. Very fine.
