Obverse: Battle scene between two horsemen and two foot soldiers
Reverse: The decapitated bodies of the counts Egmont and Hornes, with heads impaled on poles
Atributtion: Dugn. 2779
Grade: Very Fine
Weight: 5.2 grs.
Measure: 30.52 mm.
Notes:
A historically important Jeton. Egmont and Hornes were leaders in the Belgian revolt against the Spaniards and their execution precipitated the 30 Years' War.
