Sasanian Kings. Shapur I AR Drachm / Fire Altar

Date: 240-244 AD
Obverse: Bust right, wearing elaborate crown with ear flap, and topped with globe
Reverse: Fire altar with two crowned attendants, pellet to either side of altar (rare)
Size: 23.87mm
Weight: 4.2 grams
Notes: Scarcer with the reverse pellets such as this example. Includes old paper envelope from Steve Album.
