CONSTANTINE IX. 1042-1055. AR Miliarense (28mm - 2.48 g). Constantinople mint. The Virgin, orans, standing facing on footstool, wearing pallium and maphorium / Constantine standing facing, wearing military attire, holding long cross and scabbard containing sword. DOC 7; SB 1834. Good VF, toned, well struck and sharp but the flan is crystalized and chipped around the edge.
