Syria, Seleucis and Pieria. Antiochia ad Orontem. Trebonianus Gallus and Volusian. A.D. 251-253. Æ octassarion (30 mm, 20.21 g, 6 h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Trebonianus Gallus right, facing radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Volusian left / Cult-statue of Tyche of Antioch seated facing within tetrastyle temple with arched central bay and conical roof set on ornate base; the river-god Orontes below, swimming right; above, ram leaping right. McAlee 1183; Butcher 504b. Reddish-brown patina, some roughness. Very fine.
