SASANIAN KINGS. Yazdgard I. AD. 399-420. Silver Drachm (3.46 gm; 25 mm). WH (Veh Ardashir) mint, no date. Bust of Yazdgard I on floral ornament right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos / Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants, Crescent and letter “ w ” left of flame and crescent and letter “ h ” right of flame, inscription on altar shaft, crescents and letter flanking flames (SNS type Ib1/1a var. 4 (pl. 55, 67) ; Göbl type I/1; Paruck -; Saeedi -; Sunrise 915var. Nice elegant style. Well struck on a compact flan. "Not from the recnt hoard" Original find patina. Choice EF.
