SASANIAN KINGS. Varhran (Bahram) V, (420-438 AD). Æ Pashiz (1.84 gm; 15 mm). Obverse; Sasanian bust turning right, monogram consisting of crescent with two ribbons (typically the dual ribbons are indication of the dual nature of Goddess Anahit as she is Goddess of water and fertility or Goddess of water and moon), reverse, fire altar with attendants. Nice original green and earthen patina. Choice aEF. Rare.
