Kurzuwan. Anonymous. June 1221. Æ jital (19 mm, 3.29 g, 6'). Rabi II, A.H. 618. 'Malik' beseiged by Genghis Khan. Tye 324; Album 1971. VF for the issue, brown patina, pitting on obverse. Scarce.

According to Album, this coin was "[formerly] considered an issue of Chingiz Khan, [although] the type is now regarded as having been struck at Kurzuwan while under siege by the Mongols. It is one of the very few identifiable 'siege coins' of the Islamic world."
