Gordian III. A.D. 238-244. AR antoninianus (23 mm, 3.52 g, 12 h). Antioch, A.D. 238/9. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III right / CONCORDIA AVG, Concordia standing facing, head left, sacrificing out of patera over altar at her feet, and holding cornucopiae. RIC 178a; Bland 9; RSC 58. Extremely rare - Bland knew of just six specimens. Lightly toned, slight roughness. Very fine.
