Description
Seleukid Kingdom. Demetrios I Soter. 162-150 B.C. AR tetradrachm (29 mm, 16.05 g, 12 h). Antioch on the Orontes, ca. 162-155/4 B.C. Diademed head of Demetrios I right, within wreath border / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗ-ΤΡΙΟΥ, Tyche, fully clothed, seated left on throne supported by winged Tritoness, holding baton and cornucopiae; in outer left field, ΓΑ monogram. SC 1638.1j; HGC 9, 795f. Lightly toned. minor porosity. Very fine.
