Seleukid Kingdom. Diodotos Tryphon. 142-138 B.C. Æ (18 mm, 6.64 g, 12 h). Antioch on the Orontes. Diademed head of Diodotos Tryphon right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩ[Σ] ΤΡΥΦΩΝΟΣ ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΟΡΟ[Σ], spiked Macedonian helmet adorned with goat horn; in inner left field, aphlaston. SC 2034.2a; HGC 9, 1061. Attractive earthen black patina. Centering dimples. Choice very fine.
