Description
Sasanian Kingdom. Ardashir I. A.D. 223/4-240. AR drachm (25 mm, 4.16 g, 3 h). Mint B (""Hamadan""), Phase 3, circa 233/4-238/9. Diademed bust of Ardashir I right, wearing close-fitting headdress with earflaps and with korymbos / Fire altar with no attendants. SSN Type VII(4a)/3b; Göbl V/2. Edge chip and light porosity a few cleaning scratches. Good very fine.
