Description

Attica, Athens. Ca. 454-404 B.C. AR tetradrachm (22 mm, 16.74 g, 3 h). Helmeted head of Athena right, with frontal eye / ΑΘΕ, owl standing right, head facing; above and behind, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Kroll 8; SNG Copenhagen 31. Nearly full crest. NGC MS, strike: 5/5, surface: 3/5, brushed.

There is very minimal 'brushing' as noted on the NGC holder, but it appears to be confined to the grain of the crest and is hardly noticeable under 10x magnification.
