Thrace, Anchialus. Gordian III, with Tranquillina. A.D. 238-244. Æ (27 mm, 14.98 g, 6 h). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III right facing diademed and draped bust of Tranquillina left / Eagle standing facing on thunderbolt, wings displayed, head right, holding wreath in beak. Cf. Varbanov 691 (obv. legend). Dark brown patina, minor roughness. Very fine.
