L AVREL COMMODVS AVG TR P III, radiate head of Commodus right / LIBERTAS AVG IMP II COS P P, S C across field, Libertas standing facing. head left, holding pileus and scepter. RIC III 1591 (Aurelius); MIR 18, 427-18/50. Olive-green patina. Well centered with a solid strike, minor roughness and hairline flan crack. NGC AU, strike: 5/3; surface: 3/5 (removed from holder).
