Julia Maesa. Augusta, A.D. 218-224/5. AR denarius (20 mm, 2.83 g, 6 h). Rome, under Elagabalus, A.D. 220-222. IVLIA MAESA AVG, draped bust of Julia Maesa right / SAECVLI FE-LICITAS, Felicitas standing facing, head left, sacrificing out of patera over small altar and holding caduceus; in right field, star. RIC 271; Thirion 419; BMC 79-80; RSC 45. Perfectly centered obverse with Maesa's portrait in high relief. Lustrous. Choice extremely fine.
