TRAJAN. 98-117 AD. Æ Sestertius (34mm - 26.81 g). Rome mint. Struck 116-117 AD. IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, laureate and draped bust right / PRO-AVG across field, [SENATVS POPVLVS]QVE ROMANVS, SC in exergue, Providentia standing left, resting left elbow on column, pointing right hand at a globe at her feet, and holding sceptre in left hand. RIC III 661 var. (no scepter); BMCRE pg. 219, *; BN -; Banti 85. Near VF, smooth green patina with a few minor spots of red encrustation. Rare reverse type, only two cited in Banti.

An odd reverse die in that only the capital of the column is engraved, with the scepter below it. Either that, or it's a very skinny column.
