SASANIAN KINGS. Ardashir III. 628-630 AD. AR Drachm (34mm - 4.14 g). Ahwaz mint. Dated RY 2 (629 AD). Crowned bust right, star and star and crescent on either side of crown, crescent above shoulder, star on shoulder; no wings on helmet / Fire altar with attendants and ribbon; star and crescent flanking flames; date to left; mint to right. Göbl II/1; Sellwood 69; MACW 1233. Good VF, dark hoard patina. Scarce mint.
