ACHAEA. Uncertain. Summer 37 BC. Æ Semis (14mm - 2.51 g). Fleet Coinage. Light series. M. Oppius Capito, propraetor and praefectus classis. Bare head of Antony right / Prow right; S above. RPC I 1466; Amandry,"Le monnayage en bronze de Bibulus, Atratinus et Capito," SNR 66 (1987), 105-106. VF, black patina with some orange earthen deposits, banker's mark or bump on obverse.

The coin is part of the so called "Fleet Coinage" and was struck under M. Oppius Capito, as propraetor and praefectus classis in 38/37 BC. The S above the prow stands for Semis.
