PROBUS. 276-282 AD. Antoninianus (22mm - 3.67 g). Lugdunum mint. 5th emission, late 277 - early 278 AD. IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right, holding scepter over left shoulder, Medusa on chest / MARS VICTOR, Mars walking right, holding transverse spear in right hand, trophy in left hand over left shoulder; II. RIC V 83; Bastien 218 (same dies as specimen a and b). Good VF, golden brown patin with some silvering. Rare bust type.
