Description
ISLAMIC SEAL, Safavid-Qajar period, Red Agate Seal (1.31 gm; 15mm x 14mm). Shia sufi poem in praise of the first Shia Imam Ali who is considered to be the heroic sword by which Islam conquered: "Cho mara Jaddam Heidar naam nahaad Tazalzol dar arkan-e aalam fanaa nahaad" Translation: Since my great grandfather named me Heidar (the name and title given to first Shia Imam Ali), All in-securities of the world were no more (for me). Excellent condition.
