An excellent Maya figural vessel from Guatemala, c. 400 – 800 AD. This choice example from the Pacific Slope region is 6-1/2” high and portrays a zoomorphic deity. The face is beautifully detailed and expressive, with the handles acting as arms. Intact, with strong mineral deposits. Ex Tango collection. Value range: $500 – 600.
