Description
A lovely Nayarit figure from West Mexico, c. 200 BC – 300 AD. This striking San Sebastian type is 6-1/2” high and depicts an individual with the hand to mouth gesture that indicates eating. The coif is finely incised and the highly burnished orange slip shows good mineral deposits. Museum deaccession. Value range: $400 - $600
