Description
An elaborate Vera Cruz figure from Mexico, c. 300 – 900 AD. It is 4-1/4” high and depicts an ornately adorned individual wearing a necklace with large pendant, knotted belt and carrying a ceremonial object. Facial features are enhanced with the characteristic chapopote and the whistle has great tone. Museum deaccession. Value range: $325 - $400
