Description
A pair of Canosan Greek dishes, 4th - Century BC, the first a shallow bowl with near vertical walls, the wide rim with concentric grooves and rectangular cut-outs, all slipped in red. Dia: 5 ½” (13.9 cm). The second is a small plate with recessed central area and nicely painted with deep red dashes and narrow bands over a golden yellow slip, Dia: 5 ½” (13.9 cm). Both intact with light deposits. Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value Range $450 - $650.
