A lot of 6 stone stamp seals. 1). Jemdat Nasr, c. 3200 - 2900 BC, a green calcite stamp seal in the form of a reclining bull, pierced vertical for suspension. Back plain. L: 25mm. 2). Jemdat Nasr, c. 3200 - 2900 BC, a square limestone stamp seal with drilled base, W: 19mm. 3). Syria, 1st Millennium BC. A white marble domed stamp seal with stylized palm frond on base. Base 14 x 10mm. cf. Von der Osten, Collection of Hans von Aulock, p. 100, no. 161; 4). Neo-Assaria, 8th – 7th Century BC. A white quartz stamp seal with a crescent and star over an altar. Some chipping, H: 24mm; 5). Sasanian, 4th – 6th Century AD. Tan agate stamp seal with clasped hands on the base. Base 17 x 10mmm; 6). Achaemenid, 5th – 4th Century BC. An amber glass stamp seal with a winged lion. Some chipping, but rare! Base 12 x 9mm. Ex early 20th Century English collection. Value range $300-$400.
