Lot 469: ANTIQUITIES. A Choice Greek Black-Ware Trefoil Oinochoe

A very nice Greek black-ware trefoil oinochoe, Magnia Graecia, 4th Century BC, well made with excellent form, the vessel primarily black with a band of the natural clay body near the foot. An orange band runs around the edge of the shoulder, on a ridge running around the base of the neck, and around the lip of each loop of the spout. Intact with lustrous surfaces and scattered light deposits. H: 6 ½” (16.5 cm).Ex Los Angeles private collection. Value Range $500 - $700.
