Q. Caecilius Metellus Pius. 81 B.C. AR denarius (18 mm, 3.64 g, 7 h). Uncertain mint in Spain. Diademed head of Pietas right; before, stork standing right / IMPER in exergue, jug and lituus; all within wreath. Crawford 374/2; Sydenham 751; Caecilia 44. Lightly toned, porosity in exergue of reverse, hairline flan crack. Good very fine.
