[IMP N]ERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, radiate bust of Trajan right, slight drapery on far shoulder / S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI around, VIA TRAIANA/S C in two lines in exergue, the Via Traiana reclining left on pile of rocks, holding wheel and branch. Cf. RIC 641 (no aegis); Woytek 477e; BMC 998, note. Dark brown surfaces, old cleaning, minor roughness. Very fine.
