Tiberius II Constantine. 578-582. Æ 12 nummi (17 mm, 7.06 g, 12 h). Alexandria. Diademed and draped bust of Tiberius II Constantine right, holding cross / Large I B, cross between, ALEΞ. DOC 55; MIB 106 (Maurice); SB 543 (Maurice). Smooth brown patina. Good very fine.

Despite the attribution to Maurice Tiberius in MIB and SB, many still hold with Grierson's attribution of all the hand holding cross types to Tiberius II.
