India, Nagas of Padmavati. Deva Naga. Ca. 3rd century A.D. Æ kakini (10 mm, 1.52 g). Chakra (sacred wheel) / Brahmi legend Maharaja Sri (Deva) written clockwise. Coins of Deva Naga are rare. .

The Nagas ruled central India from their capital Padmavati, with 12 kings issuing small dumpy copper coins. The dynasty came to an end when the last ruler Ganapati Naga was subjugated by Samudra Gupta in the 4th century AD and the Naga kingdom was annexed to the growing Gupta empire.
