2nd century B.C. Æ (18 mm, 3.24 g). Male deity Mahakal (Shiva) standing facing, holding a solar standard; to left, Nandi bull standing right / 4-orbed Ujjain symbol. Not listed in Pieper. Rare and choice. Dark brown patina. Very fine.

Lord Mahakal (Shiva) is the local deity worshipped in Ujjain. Finding Shiva and Nandi bull together on a coin is difficult.
