Description
2nd century B.C. Æ (18 mm, 4.89 g). Elephant advancing left, with swastika and indradhvaja to left and six-armed symbol above / Railed tree in centre with hollow cross to left and hill to right. Pieper 195. Scarce. Brown patina. Very fine .
This cast coin is symbolically very rich. It was issued in the Kausambi region by the Mauryan/Sunga kings.
