SASANIAN KINGS. Shapur II (309-379 AD). AR Drachm (4.05 gm; 27 mm). Obverse; standard bust turning right, triple dot decoration on the garb and crown, single ring around the image, reverse; fire altar with attendants and Faravahar symbol on the base of the altar, attendant hold ceremonial sword capped with globe finale which is extremely rare, finest style more than likely minted in Istakhr. Sunrise 832var. Choice EF. Toned. Extremely Rare.
