M COMMODVS AN-TON AVG PIVS BRIT, laureate head of Commodus right / [P M TR P X IMP VII COS IIII P P], S C across field, VICT BRIT in exergue, Victory seated right on rock, holding palm in right arm, and placing left hand on shield set on knee; two shields on ground behind. RIC 452; BMC 560; Cohen 946. Popular British reference reverse type. Smooth brown surfaces. Fine.

Although the reverse legend isn't completely visible, the TR P X reverse is confirmed by a reverse die link with another coin, see CNG E320, 453.
