India, Indo-Greeks. Apollodotos II. ruled Ca. 85-65 B.C. AR drachm (17 mm, 2.24 g). Diademed king's bust right, with Greek legend around / Athena Promachos advancing left, brandishing thunderbolt and shield, with monogram to right and Kharoshthi legend Maharajasa tratarasa Apaladatasa (of Great King Apollodotos the Savior). HGC 12, 392. A choice specimen with a pleasing portrait of the king. Rare.
