India, Ancient northern India. Ca. 2nd Century B.C. Æ coin (13 mm, 1.42 g). Lion standing left; miscellaneous symbols around / 3-arched hill with tree on top, flanked by inverted taurines. NOT listed in Pieper. An uninscribed cast copper coin issued during the Mauryan-Sunga period. This type is not recorded by Pieper. Very rare.
